AJ Pritchard’s friend Abbie Quinnen spoke about the horrific moment she got second and third degree fires in a freak.
The 23-year-old professional dancer required three skin grafts after a YouTube video she shot with her 26-year-old boyfriend went horribly wrong and saw a wine bottle explode on Jan. 19, setting her hair and clothes on fire.
Abbie showed up in Lorraine on Tuesday describing the fears she felt for her life when the fire started, while AJ talked about how seconds felt like life while trying to quell the flames that were consuming his partner .
She then explained that during her recovery she feared that she “would never look the same” and not be able to return to her dream job.

Last month, Abbie was seen for the first time since the burns, and during her appearance on the chat show, she marveled at how the skin was healing, while AJ branded the body as “incredible”.
The duo were trying to put a wine bottle in a vase when the accident happened – resulting in a sharp warning from Lorraine.
Abbie said, “At the time I was on fire, I was just thinking, ‘How can I survive, how can I get out of this situation? “So I don’t remember it being so painful. I think I was just in shock and was trying to figure out how to erase that. ‘
From that moment on, Abbie continued, “I think AJ wanted to do this life hack, this home hack, which everyone was doing to find something to do [in lockdown] .

Devastating: In a previous interview, Abbie revealed that she had asked her boyfriend AJ if he would love her after the terrible accident (before the accident).
‘We watched the video right in front of us to see it step by step and everything and unfortunately it just went terribly wrong …
“I was about 4 m away from AJ and it went up straight away, it went straight through the room and it caught my hair immediately and then unfortunately my body, my clothes.”
AJ said, ‘Seconds feel like a lifetime. When Abbie fell to the floor trying to roll and grabbed a blanket to put out the fire, I simultaneously reached for wet towels to put on the areas, called the ambulance, and went to A&E. It felt like a whole Year on. .
“But you only have to do what you have to do in these scenarios. As soon as I handed you over to the professionals at the hospital, I was a failure and I collapsed. ‘

He said of her recovery, “It is incredible that the hospital, the surgeons and the nurses have helped so much. The skin is amazing [in how it recovers] while Abbie added, “I’m much better off than I am, for sure. My face is almost healed now. ‘
Abbie said, ‘I think when it happened I was just thinking the worst, my face will never look like this again, I will always have scars on my body …
“I’ll never be able to dance or perform and do what I love to do, so I immediately thought that was it for me. Fortunately, my face is healing really well. ‘

The couple also talked about how Claudia Winkleman and Katie Piper approached them after their terrible fire accident.
The 49-year-old television presenter, whose daughter Matilda suffered horrific burns in 2014, sent her support to the couple as soon as she heard of Abbie’s injuries.
Abbie said, ‘You were absolutely amazing. I think when I talked to Claudia I just couldn’t believe what her daughter went through. I think she went through 14 surgeries which is so horrible. I hated having three. ‘

AJ added: ‘She shared a lot of tips and different moisturizers [to try] . You read every brochure and everything has something different …
“If you can only be certain that you are doing the right thing, you always doubt yourself. Talking, something Claudia and Katie said are actually talking to someone about it, because the same goes for ITV, the Get Talking campaign …
‘It’s the most important thing. We who sit here help each other as we do other people. ‘
