During the accompanying photo shoot, the multiple Grammy winner foregoing her oversized silhouette in favor of a range of figure-hugging catsuits and corset-inspired looks that were created with pieces by designers such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Valentino and Burberry. She also revealed a new blonde hairstyle after wearing her signature green locks for years.
This is a big change for Eilish, who said in the interview that her body was her “deepest insecurity” and “the original cause of my depression was when I was younger”.

In an open interview, Eilish said that girls are expected to grow up too quickly. “It’s a crazy thing,” she said. “Young women are expected to know and do everything and be the mother of all by the time we are 15.”
About her new single “Your Power”, the singer said: “It’s an open letter to people who take advantage of it – mostly men.” In the song, Eilish is addressing someone who has molested a minor, but it isn’t aimed at a person, she said.
“I want people to listen to me. And not just trying to figure out who I’m talking about because it’s not about that. It’s really not about a person at all. You might think, ‘It’s because they’re in the music Industry ‘- no, dude. It’s everywhere, “she added.
“I don’t know any girl or woman who hasn’t had a strange or really bad experience. And men too – boys are constantly being exploited.”
When she spoke about her own experiences in the spotlight, she said, “Don’t make me a role model because you get turned on by me.”
Eilish also goes into what she thinks certain people might say about her new direction: “‘When it comes to body positivity, why wear a corset? Why wouldn’t you show your actual body?'”
But the young star said trust was her only gospel. “It’s all about why you feel good. If you want to have an operation, get an operation. If you want to wear a dress that someone thinks you look too big, damn it – if you feel like you Look good, you look good. “

Snapes writes that Eilish reveals that she has experienced abuse but does not go into personal details.
“They can always be exploited. That’s a big problem in the world of domestic abuse or legal rape – girls who have been very confident, strong-willed and find themselves in situations where they say, ‘Oh my god, I’ am me the victim here? ‘”Eilish told the magazine.
“And it’s so embarrassing and humiliating and demoralizing to think in this position that you know so much and then you realize that I’m being abused right now.”
The new single explores the dynamics between perpetrator and victim, as well as famous people like yourself and those who “would honestly do anything you say,” Eilish said.
“It’s about taking that power back, showing it off and not exploiting it,” she said. “I won’t allow myself to be owned anymore.”
Eilish’s new album “Happier Than Ever” will be released on July 30th.
