Former UFC two-weight champion McGregor said earlier this month that a third fight has been booked with Poirier who became the first man to knock him out in January. McGregor knocked out Poirier in a featherweight contest in 2014.
But McGregor wasn’t happy when Poirier said the Irishman hadn’t kept his promise to donate to his charity.
“A donation, not a debt. We have been waiting for plans for the money that never came,” McGregor said in a response.
“500,000 with no plan,” he added. “The fight is over … I’ll fight someone else on the 10th.”
Poirier replied that McGregor’s team “never replied to emails” explaining where the money would go.
