Eden Hazard won’t play a role in the Real League quarter-finals against Liverpool after failing to recover from his ankle injury in time.
Los Blancos face Anfield on Wednesday and lead 3-1 from last week’s first leg in Madrid.
Hazard has only played 15 minutes of soccer since January but recently returned to full first team practice.

There were hopes that he might be fit enough to take a seat on the bench, but these have proven premature.
However, there has been positive news regarding Fede Valverde as the Uruguayan midfielder is set to travel to England following an injury in El Clasico last weekend.
With Hazard, Zinedine Zidane doesn’t want to take any chances with the Belgian and has refused to give in to pressure to bring him back for the Clasico or Liverpool draw.
Hazard has been sidelined since March 13 with the psoas injury sustained during Real Madrid’s game against Elche.
