Manchester City are believed to be preparing a new contract offer for Phil Foden as the club want to reward the midfielder for his influential performances.
The 20-year-old was in impressive form for Pep Guardiola’s team and scored the winning goals in both games of the Champions League quarter-final win against Borussia Dortmund.
Foden signed a deal with the club in 2018 earning £ 30,000 a week that runs until 2024.

However, the Mirror reports that City is ready to offer him a new £ 100,000 per week contract that will extend his contract through 2026.
The city is concerned that all of Europe’s biggest clubs are looking to sign Foden, if the opportunity presents itself, and to retain a player who joined them for the first time at the U9 level.
Guardiola has previously referred to the midfielder as one of the most talented players he has ever worked with and was again full of praise for Foden after City’s win over Dortmund.
“You have the feeling he’s the guy who never hides,” Guardiola said.

‘He learns to make decisions. He scored two important goals to help us in the semi-finals.

The English star has taken on more responsibility this season following the departure of David Silva, scoring 13 goals in all of his club’s competitions.
Foden scored his first two goals for England against Iceland at Wembley in November and is expected to play an important role at the Euros this summer.
