The Masters tournament is back – as are the fans and the legendary azaleas.
Hideki Matsuyama put together two brilliant final rounds at Augusta National to win the Masters in 2021. By winning the tournament, Matsuyama became the first Japanese to win one of the four major championships in men’s golf.
The golf’s first major started in its traditional place on the calendar on Thursday, April 8, a year after being postponed until November due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There were no spectators on the course last year, but this year a limited number of people were allowed to attend.
Things are not quite normal yet; The face masks are proof that we still have a long way to go with Covid-19. But the course is as beautiful as ever.
