FANA, a travel company based in the USA and Singapore, organizes the Friends Fan Cruise, nicknamed “The One When They Went On a Cruise”. The seven-day drive begins and returns to Fort Lauderdale, with stops in Key West, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; and George Town, Grand Cayman.
The cruise is not affiliated with Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Friends and shares a parent company with CNN. In addition, no actors will appear. But there is plenty to do on board for super fans, including “Friends” trivia, a costume contest for favorite characters, and cooking demos.
Shore excursions include a visit to the Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Gardens, a tour of the Ernest Hemingway Home, tequila and rum tastings (not at the same time), a helicopter ride over Grand Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach, swimming with dolphins and stingrays (definitely the one Pheebs would choose) to explore a coral reef by submarine and take part in a beach cleanup project.
From June 2021, Celebrity Cruises will require all passengers over the age of 16 to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and proof of vaccination. Travelers are also required to complete a mandatory health questionnaire before they can board.
