Tottenham set up the summer nosedive for Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, rated £ 15million, who is targeting Harry Kane as a replacement despite his star thinking about his future
- Tottenham are considering moving Sasa Kalajdzic to replace Harry Kane
- Kalajdzic, 23, is a 6ft 7in striker who has scored 15 goals for Stuttgart this season
- He would play second fiddle after Kane and Carlos Vinicius would return to Benfica
Tottenham are considering a move for Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic to join Harry Kane.
Spurs will have to find a second striker with Carlos Vinicius who will return to Benfica after his loan period expires at the end of the season.
Valued at £ 15million, Kalajdzic is ranked number 2 for Kane, though the Spurs star is also contemplating his future.
Tottenham have planned a move for Stuttgart and Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic this summer
The 23-year-old Kalajdzic is seen as a replacement option for striker Harry Kane
The 23-year-old Austrian international has scored 15 goals in 30 games for Stuttgart this season.
However, Spurs will have to compete for the signature of the 6ft 7in striker, with Borussia Dortmund also reported as interested.
Although Dortmund does not want to sell Erling Haaland, he plans in case he should leave and Kalajdzic’s experience in the Bundesliga makes him a suitable option.
Spurs also see themselves interested in the race to sign Kalajdzic with Borussia Dortmund
Should Kalajdzic move to north London, he would likely perform better than Vinicius.
Sportsmail reported Monday that Vinicius’ average loan season has resulted in Spurs not wanting to make his move permanent for £ 36million.
